Jewish Learning Fellowship
Together with a group of peers, over dinner each week, we explore Judaism and ourselves.

The Jewish Learning Fellowship (JLF) is a 10-week experiential, conversational seminar for students looking to deepen their understanding of Judaism on their own terms. Together we ask big questions like "How do I heal a broken world when Bio 101 is taking up all my free time?" or "Does Judaism believe in Feminism?" Our job is to help you explore this tradition from a place of curiosity and honesty. JLF provides a $200 stipend to students who complete the seminar requirements. Learn more about the JLF tracks and how to apply below.
This semester we are offering the following tracks.
Mondays, 5:30pm | Sex, Love and Relationships with Sarah Kasdan and Nikki Michaelson
Wednesdays, 5:30pm | Life's Big Questions with Rabbi Daniel Kasdan and Joanna Sherman
Wednesdays, 5:30pm | Jewish Leadership in the 21st Century with Rabbi Ari Weiss
What our students say
" In Hillel's Jewish Learning Fellowship, we talked about things that I never would have talked about in a regular academic setting...it gave me the opportunity to explore something within Judaism that’s relevant among my age... "
— Olivia Weinberg
