Passover 2024

About Passover

Passover, or Pesach, is a significant Jewish holiday that commemorates the liberation of the Israelites from slavery in ancient Egypt. It's a time for reflection, gratitude, and coming together with loved ones to retell the story of Exodus through the Passover Seder—a ceremonial meal that follows a specific order and includes symbolic foods.

Join us for Seder

Mark your calendars for April 22 because we are thrilled to host our annual F. Warren and Pamela Ellish Cornell Hillel Super Seder, and you're invited! This unforgettable event is open to all students, and the best part? It's completely free!

At the F. We offer multiple seder styles to cater to different interests and preferences, ensuring that everyone feels at home. Whether you're a Passover pro or new to the holiday, there's something for everyone at our Super Seder.

To help us prepare, we kindly ask that you RSVP using the link provided here. However, walk-ins are always welcome, so don't hesitate to join us even if you forget to RSVP!

Second Seder and Hosting Your Own Seder
But wait, there's more! For those who want to continue the Passover celebrations, join us on April 23 for the second night seder at 104WEST. It's another opportunity to delve into the traditions of Passover while enjoying delicious food and great company.

Plus, if you're interested in hosting your own seder for friends, we've got you covered. Through our Hillel Across Cornell platform, we'll reimburse students who host their own seders, making it easier than ever to share the joy of Passover with your peers. Learn more and sign up here.

Is Seder Free?

Yes! Both nights of Seder are free for all students! Just enter your NetID when you RSVP on the dining page and either payment option with BRBs or credit card should say $0. Let us know if it doesn't! Read about our program endowment.
