Prospective & Admitted Students

"First-Year Fest made me part of a community before I even attended my first class " - Jonah Klapholz

Prospective Students

Welcome to Cornell!

We are excited that you are interested in Cornell and Jewish life on campus. With approximately 2,500 Jewish students on campus, Cornell is the Ivy with the largest Jewish population.

If you are a prospective student, please reach out to our Director of Jewish Student Experiences, Nikki Michaelson. She will help you coordinate a campus visit and connect you with current students who can provide insight to the campus and answer any questions you have.

Admitted Students

Welcome to the Class of 2026!

Cornell Hillel is excited to welcome you to our community and is looking forward to connecting you to many opportunities including holiday celebrations, leadership roles, internships, and much more.

If you are an incoming student, please reach out to our Innovation Fellow, Joanna Sherman, and she will connect you with current students who can give you the inside scoop about campus life.

Orientation 2022- Registration Now Open!

Start your college career off right by spending an overnight with 60 other incoming students in the beautiful Ithaca outdoors! Spend the day at the Hoffman Challenge course, schmooze with your fellow students and get to know the upperclassmen and Hillel staff. Enjoy the low ropes course, team building activities, stargazing, a bonfire, s'mores, and camp out in a yurt. You'll find out the many opportunities to get involved with Jewish life at Cornell.

This year First Year Fest will be Sunday, August 14 - Monday, August 15. Registration is now closed.

If you have any questions about First Year Fest, please email our Assistant Executive Director, Emily Block.
