COVID-19 Updates 2021

We are so excited to welcome all of you to Hillel as you make your way to campus this week. And we are grateful for the many opportunities we will have to be together in-person this semester!

 

There are still many precautions we will take to prioritize your health and safety, as well as the safety of our staff and their families. We ask that you review Cornell University’s guidelines.  All Cornell Hillel guidelines are aligned with Cornell University’s and supplement them when necessary. 

 

When you participate in Hillel or any of our programs, you may expect:

 

• All indoor activities will require masks.

• When Cornell requires masking outdoors, all outdoor activities will be masked. 

• Cornell Hillel will attempt to hold as many activities as possible in outdoor spaces.

• There will be sign-in sheets for all activities so the University can conduct contact tracing. 

• Consistent with University policy, food will not be offered at most programs.  When it is, it will be in individual servings and served outside.  

• Hillel will follow Cornell policy for Friday night and holiday meals.  All participants are required to be masked when not eating. 

• Shabbat and High Holiday services will follow Cornell rules for singing. Currently, the Edwards Room and Memorial Room are considered ventilated and participants can sing if masked and three feet distanced. 

• We will continue to encourage safe and respectful distancing

• You will always be greeted warmly!

 

All of these same guidelines are expected of our Hillel staff and all visitors to the Hillel space in Anabel Taylor Hall.

 

You and your safety are what is most important to us. We will do everything we can to make our programming and spaces feel welcoming, inclusive, accessible, and safe so that you may be a part of our community, in any way that feels meaningful to you.
